1st National Peace Convention Held to Promote Unity

The 1st National Peace Convention was held on January 25, 2023 with the theme, “Peace Builds One Nation, One Future: Peace is Here”, attended by over 1,500 peace advocates to build a holistic roadmap towards the attainment of national unity through peace in consonance with the Marcos Administration’s agenda.   In attendance also was Chairman Lee Man-hee of Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL), a 92-year old Korean war veteran.   “Peacebuilding in Mindanao after conflict is becoming known worldwide. This is the case of transforming death into life for peace. Starting with Mindanao and the Philippines, when we unite in love, peace will come to our world. For this reason, everyone in the Philippines has to become one and work together as messengers of peace,” said Chairman Lee.   The five resolutions were consolidated during the second Plenary Session to call for President Bongbong Marcos to proclaim January 24 as ‘National Peace Day’ or “Truce Day”. ...

Visiting Czech High School Students Through “The Power of My Voice” Travelling Exhibition

“The Power of My Voice” exhibition was held at two high schools in the Czech Republic, attracting more than 750 students and teachers. With the same theme as the one held at the Senate in Prague last March, this exhibition was held from May 9 to 13 at Grammar School of Eliška Krásnohorská and from September 12 to 23 at Grammar School Sedlčany in the Czech Republic. In the future, “The Power of My Voice” Exhibition will be held at more high schools throughout Czech Republic to promote the importance of the voice of civil society. We hope that the participation of many citizens will let students not only realize the value of democracy in the Czech Republic, but also lead to the continuation of more diverse peace activities in the surrounding regions. Seoul (South Korea), 4th Jan. HWPL held an online event under the theme of ‘Great Religious People in the History of Each Country all over the world’ on Dec 17, 2022. The event, attended by 114 participants as selected religious leaders and citizens, was designed to harmonize religion and overcome the difficulties due to Covid-19 and economic depression around the world through the examples of religious greats who contributed to solving social problems and delivered a message of peace in human history. Recognizing that religious harmony is very important for achieving global peace, the HWPL WARP Offices has been operating the WARP Offices, Religious Youth Peace Camp, and Open Dialogue with Religious Leaders across the globe since 2014. Namibia & Tribalism“Building the Namibia We Want: The Road to Ending Tribalism”

On 28 July 2022, Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) held a webinar titled ‘Tribalism and Namibia’ along with International Women Peace Group (IWPG) and International Peace Youth Group (IPYG). About 200 people, including government officials, religious leaders, civil society organizations, and women and youth leaders, participated in the event under the theme, “Building the Namibia We Want: The Road to Ending Tribalism”. The Webinar was held to raise awareness on the impact of tribalism in Namibia and to educate participants on the history of tribalism and the human rights violations that occurred under the banner of tribalism. On August 18th, 2022, HWPL (Heavenly Culture World Peace Restoration of Right) hosted the webinar “The Dialogue to promote the Protection of Human Rights in relation to Russia-Ukraine War”. The webinar was held to raise awareness of the situation of human rights in the war in Ukraine and find the way to protect human rights. Two human right activists Ms. Sonja Biserko and Ms. Abida Pehlic who have been working on human right issues on the ground for many years gave the main presentations. African Human Rights “Peace: An Instrument for Democracy and Sustainable Development”

On August 27th, under the theme of , a webinar was held by an international peace NGO, Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) and it dealt with various human rights issues caused by election violence. At this webinar, where 15 people of politicians, lawyers, NGOs, and journalists from Kenya gathered, participants particularly focused on the problem left to Kenyan in this era where the president election is still going on and speakers addressed the attitude of each positions to keep for building true democracy and after the presentation, it also had a Q&A time where attendees and speakers talked each other about the speeches freely.
